Who are we?

Minnesota Mandarin Christian Church was founded in June 1998. MMCC is a non-denominational Church, committed to the Bible as the only true Word of God and to Jesus Christ, God the Son, who is the redeemer of all who believe in Him. We believe that a Christian Church congregation is made up of people who believe in Jesus Christ as their savior and Lord. Our purpose at MMCC is to be salt and light as a part of the body of Christ in Minneapolis. We are a small congregation, desiring to see the Lord grow MMCC as He would please. We are reaching out to Chinese families. Our worship is God-centered, and mindful that we approach and worship a holy and triune God who is infinite, almighty, and unchangeable. Our Lord’s Day services are conducted in Chinese and English to meet the needs of bi-lingual families. We sing hymns that are Christ-centered and biblically rich. The preaching at MMCC is Christ-centered and expository, striving to weave explanation, illustration and personal application of the Word of God. The current pastor is Xing Liu. He completed his studies at Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in South Carolina and received his master of divinity degree in 2016.

我们是谁？

明州国语基督教会（英文简称MMCC）成立于1998年6月。MMCC现在是一间不隶属任何宗派的華人教会。我们坚信圣经是唯一真实的上帝的话语；主耶稣基督是神的儿子，是所有相信他之人的救赎主。我们相信基督教会的会众是由那些相信并接受耶稣基督做为他们的救主和生命的主的信徒所组成的。我们在MMCC的目的是：作为基督身体的一部分，要在明尼阿波利斯西南角成为盐和光。我们还是一间發展中的教会，渴慕神按着他自己的旨意来使教会成长。我们传福音主要以華人家庭为对象。我们的敬拜是：以神为中心，用全心来敬拜圣洁的三一真神。他是无限的、全能的、且永不改变的。我们的主日敬拜使用中英文两种语言，以满足双语家庭的需要。我们的诗歌是以基督为中心，以圣经为依据的赞美诗。MMCC的证道是以基督为中心、解经式的讲道，力图把解释，说明，和个人的实际应用结合起来。现任牧师是刘星。刘星牧师于2016年在南卡莱罗纳州的格林维尔长老会神学院（GPTS）完成学业并获得道学硕士学位。

Pastor Liu Xing

I was born in a village in Baotou, China. I majored in physics at Inner Mongolia Normal University and in 1993 earned my Bachelor’s degree in Science. After graduation, I was assigned to teach in a high school. I met my wife Jinjing in 1996. In 1998, we confessed our sins, repented, and accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of our lives on the same day. We were baptized together in a family church in China on the Easter of 2000. In 2001, I got a job offer from a company in Minnesota and we came to the US together. In 2006, my wife and I attended Gospel For China Conference in Chicago, Illinois. During a particular session, I was moved and willing to devote my life to the Lord. In 2011, I confirmed the Lord’s calling and moved my family to Greenville, South Carolina, where I started to be equipped for God’s work at Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary and earned a Master’s degree in Divinity in 2016. In June of the same year, I accepted MMCC’s calling to be a full-time Minister and came back to Minnesota. On February 18, 2018, I was ordained by MMCC as a full time Pastor to serve God and His Church to this day. I currently live in Minnesota with my wife Jinjing, son Jesse, and daughter Grace.

刘星牧师

我出生在中国大陆内蒙古包头市的一个乡村，一九九三年从内蒙古师范大学物理系获得理学学士学位，毕业后被分配到包头市的一所高中任教，一九九六年认识我的妻子金晶。一九九八年妻子和我同一天认罪悔改，接受耶稣基督作我们的救主和生命的主。二零零零年复活节一起在一间家庭教会受洗归入基督。二零零一年我在明州得到一份工作，与妻子一起来到美国。 二零零六年去芝加哥参加中国福音大会，在一次聚会中受感动，愿意把一生献给主。二零一一年明确主的呼召后，全家搬到南卡里罗纳州格林威尔，在格林威尔长老会神学院全时间接收神学装备，于二零一六年五月获得道学硕士学位，同年六月接受明州国语基督教会的呼召，返回明州作全时间传道。二零一八年二月十八日被明州国语基督教会按立为牧师。我和妻子，儿子刘道明，和女儿刘明真现居明尼苏达州。
